# The web searches ChatGPT ran behind its answers (query fan-out)

> Only ChatGPT reports the searches it runs, so `answers` counts analyzed ChatGPT answers in scope. `totalQueries` counts every search, `distinctQueries` the different ones (case and spacing ignored).

`queries` lists the 100 most frequent searches; `occurrences` counts searches, `answers` the answers that ran them. `terms` counts the searches that contain each two-word term. `brands` counts the distinct searches naming each tracked brand (ambiguous names left out). `topics` gives every topic its distinct searches and occurrences over all searches.
