## About SEOmator

> [accordion] What is SEOmator?
>
> SEOmator is the AI SEO Manager for B2B SaaS. It tracks your Google keywords
> and the questions your buyers ask ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini, shows
> how often the answers name your brand and which sources they use, and its AI
> SEO Agent answers your questions and makes the changes you approve. See [How
> SEOmator works](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/how-it-works.md).

> [accordion] Does SEOmator change anything without asking?
>
> No. The AI SEO Agent asks before it adds a prompt, a competitor or a topic,
> and nothing changes until you click **Approve**. An AI tool connected over
> MCP can make changes only if you allowed it when you connected it, and only
> as your role allows. See [Approve a
> change](https://docs.seomator.com/agent/overview.md#approve-a-change).

## Reports and metrics

> [accordion] Why don't AI answers name my brand?
>
> Usually because the answers name your brand in a way SEOmator doesn't track
> yet, or don't name it at all. Check that your brand's name and aliases on
> [Competitors](https://docs.seomator.com/setup/competitors.md) match how AI writes it; saving recounts
> your past answers. Then open [Domains](https://docs.seomator.com/reports/domains.md) to see which
> sources the assistants read for your prompts.

> [accordion] When do the first numbers appear?
>
> The first answers are requested as soon as you click **Start daily
> tracking**, and the numbers fill in as they arrive. While answers come in,
> **Tracking** in the sidebar shows **Running** with a percent. The trend line
> appears from the second day of data. See [Projects and
> setup](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/projects.md).

> [accordion] Why did a number change?
>
> Hover the day on the trend chart: a dashed line marks a day when prompts
> were added or archived, or an assistant's model changed. Editing a brand
> also recounts it in past answers. Changes against the previous period count
> only the prompts and assistants measured in both periods. See
> [Metrics](https://docs.seomator.com/reports/metrics.md).

> [accordion] Why does Gemini have no Cited value?
>
> Gemini shows no inline citations, so **Cited** leaves Gemini answers out.
> They still count in **Retrieved**. See [How SEOmator
> works](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/how-it-works.md#assistants).

## Tracking and setup

> [accordion] Why is my project's tracking paused?
>
> Tracking pauses when your organization is on Free and nobody visits for a
> while, when it moves to Free with more projects than Free tracks, or when
> someone pauses the project. **Paused: no visits** resumes when you open
> SEOmator. **Paused: over the plan** resumes when you subscribe to a paid
> plan. A project you paused yourself resumes in [Project
> settings](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/projects.md#pause-or-resume-tracking). See [The Free
> plan](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/plans.md#the-free-plan) for the limits, and
> [Usage](https://docs.seomator.com/settings/billing.md#usage) for each project's status.

> [accordion] Why can't I run a setup step again?
>
> Each setup step can run at most 5 times a day for a project. Go on with what
> it found, or try again the next day. See [Projects and
> setup](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/projects.md).

## Plans and credits

> [accordion] What happens when my trial ends?
>
> If you haven't picked a plan, your organization moves to Free and nothing is
> deleted. SEOmator emails you before the trial ends and again when it ends.
> To keep everything running, pick a plan in [Billing](https://docs.seomator.com/settings/billing.md). See
> [Plans and credits](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/plans.md#the-free-plan) for what Free
> keeps.

> [accordion] How are credits spent?
>
> Your plan's prompts run without credits. Credits pay for prompts over your
> plan, the setup of a project your plan doesn't include, and agent answers.
> See every spend in [Usage](https://docs.seomator.com/settings/billing.md#usage) and the cost of each
> action in [Plans and credits](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/plans.md#credits).

## Team, tools and data

> [accordion] How do I invite teammates?
>
> In the sidebar, click your name and select **Invite members**, then click
> **Invite people** and send the invite. Each member gets a role that decides
> what they can change. See [Members](https://docs.seomator.com/settings/members.md).

> [accordion] How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or other AI tools?
>
> In the sidebar, click **MCP** and copy the URL or command for your tool from
> **MCP clients**. Add it to your tool and approve the connection in your
> browser. See [Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools](https://docs.seomator.com/mcp/setup.md).

> [accordion] How do I delete my data?
>
> Delete an archived prompt to remove it and all of its answers, or delete a
> whole project in [Project
> settings](https://docs.seomator.com/getting-started/projects.md#delete-a-project). The organization,
> with all its projects, is deleted in [General](https://docs.seomator.com/settings/organization.md), and
> you can delete your own account: in the sidebar, click your name and select
> **Account**.

> [accordion] How do I contact support?
>
> Use the [contact form](https://seomator.com/contact), or click **Contact
> support** in the help center's navigation bar.
